I want to share an important update regarding taxes for services with Finally Social.

Last year, October 1st, 2025, the state of Washington came out with a new Washington State law (ESSB 5814) requiring sales tax to be collected on certain services that were not previously taxable. All marketing is now considered advertising. 

As a result, starting this month, all Finally Social services will now be subject to sales tax, I will not be charging sales tax since October 1st, 2025. It will start this month. 

This is for all of Washington state. You have probably already seen these taxes applied to many of your services.

Sales tax will be calculated based on your billing address, in accordance with state requirements. I need to get your billing address, please.

This change is mandated by the state and is not a pricing increase from Finally Social. Our service rates remain the same—this update simply ensures compliance with current tax law.

You may see sales tax added to invoices for services such as:

• Advertising and marketing services

• Custom website development

• IT and technical support

• Live presentations, workshops, and trainings

• Custom software or digital solutions

• Temporary staffing or project-based support
